Come to the hills for a mountain bike ride on expertly-designed downhill tracks. Glentress, 3 miles from Peebles town centre, is rated as 'the best dedicated mountain bike centre in Britain' by Mountain Bike Rider Magazine and offers trails for all grades of riders.
Both Glentress, with brilliant trails of all grades and near by Innerleithen offering trails for more experienced riders, have a massive reputation for some of the best mountain biking in the UK and beyond.

Well known as "The Queen of the Scottish Salmon Rivers", the magnificent River Tweed runs right through the heart of the Scottish Borders. Peebles lies just over 20 miles south of Edinburgh, on the banks of the River Tweed. Although the River Tweed is most associated with internationally famous salmon and trout fishing, there is a wide choice of fishing available, such as perch, grayling, pike and roach fishing.
